ASKING FOR DIRECTION
There are some expressions that you can use to make a phone call with someone:
I/ DIRECT TO THE OFFICE

Could you tell me how to get to the office from here?

Can you tell me the way to…..?

How do I get to…..?
-
Excuse me, where is the main office?
II/ AFTER ABOUT TWO KILOMETERS YOU WILL SEE A GARAGE ON YOUR RIGHT

Some other landmarks.

You will pass some shops.

Then you will see a large red building in front of you.

Keeping going and you will come to the entrance gate.
III/ PARK IN ONE OF THE VISITOR’S SPACES
-
I have left my car in a reserved space.

There are some spaces reserved for visitors.

Can I park here?
IV/ I am calling from a service station….

I am calling from the train.
-
I am calling from a service station on the M4.
-
I am on the M1 motorway.
V/ TAKE THE FIRST LEFT AFTER THE SERVICE STATION…

Carry on for three kilometers.

Take the second exit at the roundabout.

Turn left at the junction.

Go straight across the crossroad.

At the traffic light, turn right.

CARRY ON FOR THREE KILOMETRES

Drive on for another ten kilometres until you come to a service station on the

right –hand side.

The office is the fifth on the right, along the corridor.

It’s opposite the lift.
